⚡Dayseeker: lança videoclipe para o novo single “Shapeshift”.

A banda californiana Dayseeker — formada por Rory Rodriguez (vocais), Gino Sgambelluri (guitarra), Ramone Valerio (baixo) e Zac Mayfield (bateria) — compartilhou o videoclipe de seu novo single “Shapeshift”, terceiro lançamento do álbum Creature In The Black Night, que chega 24 de outubro via Spinefarm Records.

“Essa música fala sobre a ansiedade que vivo diariamente,” comenta Rory Rodriguez. “É uma carta aberta para mim mesmo sobre como ela me transforma em diferentes versões de mim.”

O álbum foi produzido por Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) e mixado por Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Lorna Shore). Segundo a banda, trata-se de seu trabalho mais imersivo e intencional até hoje, com clima sombrio, cinematográfico e uma corrente emocional intensa. Embora não seja um álbum conceitual no sentido tradicional, Creature In The Black Night apresenta coesão temática, desde a identidade visual sombria e iconografia do Ceifador, até o desenrolar das faixas como capítulos.

“Há uma vibe inspirada em horror que surgiu naturalmente nas músicas. Quando começou a aparecer, decidimos abraçar isso”, explica Rodriguez.

Uma evolução sonora

O disco apresenta riffs mais pesados, vocais gritados e uma sonoridade mais afiada. “Havia a ideia de que ficaríamos mais comerciais com o tempo, mas o oposto aconteceu — estamos tocando riffs mais complexos, gritando mais, e isso soa autêntico e verdadeiro,” comenta Rodriguez.
